The Functions of the Joint Research Office

1. Research Development– supporting grant and fellowship applications, and industry support
2. Research Sponsorship– supporting the sponsorship processes across LHP organisations
3. Set up of multi centre complex studies – the team supports all aspects of multi centre complex studies including contracting
4. Business Intelligence – responsible for our digital first research management approach and performance data, dashboard and analytics

The structure brings support from across a multidisciplinary team to work together on finalising contracts, costings, and working with the relevant NHS Departments to confirm capacity and capability to undertaken individual research studies.

Business Intelligence

A strong city wide collaborative narrative and the ability to identify collaboration opportunities depends on being able to describe the activity and strengths of our system.

Our Business Intelligence service will include:

• Maintenance of the Joint Research Office Power Business Intelligence (BI) dashboard.
• Provision of day-to-day analytical support.
• Ensuring effective managing and management of LHP systems: Document Management System, EDGE, Power BI dashboard.
• Development, implementation and maintenance of information and business intelligence solutions.
• Developing and delivering key performance indicator reports for LHP Board and the Joint Research Office.
• Provision of systems training as appropriate.
