Training
Liverpool Health Partners is committed to supporting the development and training of the clinical academic workforce across our region.
We invest in creating opportunities for medics and Allied Health Professionals working in research and innovation. This ensures workforce planning by supporting a rich pipeline of tomorrow’s clinical researchers and innovators.
We co-design and deliver research and innovation workshops, drop-in sessions and formal training programmes.
An example of this is the accredited Researcher Development Programme delivered in conjunction with the NHS R&D North West. This has been specifically developed to close the gap in non-medical principal investigators; targeted to allied health professionals, nurses and midwives, the programme is accredited by the University of Liverpool as a Master’s module.
Capacity building is an important part of LHP, there is a clear need for improving the pipeline of new investigators across our system. See our investigator handbook which was co-authored by our partners to support prospective investigators by providing a step by step guide and links to resources.
