How can SPARK support my research?

The SPARK Grant Application Team (GAT) continue to support all research grant applications, during this time. If you require support with your research grant application, please contact the grant application team by completing the SPARK EOI Form: LHP Grant Proposal EOI and email this to: enquiries@lhpspark.nhs.uk, Ccing stacey.carruthers@liverpool.ac.uk and jodie.henderson@liverpool.ac.uk

  • SPARK can support and facilitate your grant application, linking you to other interested researchers and discussing feasibility and grant strategy.
  • Offer advice on funders and forthcoming funding opportunities
  • this unique team within SPARK works in collaboration with CRN NWC to help pull together the NHS costs for a grant application.
  • If you need further help with your research design/protocol development then we can put you in contact with NIHR Research Design Service (RDS) and/or Liverpool Clinical Trials Centre (LCTC) and will provide ongoing coordination to support you.

SPARK Grant Application Timelines

  • Contact SPARK grants application team at enquiries@lhpspark.nhs.uk as early as possible.
  • Initial request will be to complete the SPARK EOI form: LHP Grant Proposal EOI
  • SPARK grants application team will support you through the full process of your grant application, linking you to system wide support teams and will coordinate collating the costings from all parties.
  • SPARK will work in liaison with CRN NWC to finalise the NIHR SoECAT form for validation.
