Advisory Board

Advisory Board

We have set up an Advisory Board which will provide support to LHP in developing its strategy and delivery. It comprises six national and international clinical and managerial academics who will participate in a planned LHP annual conference and also be available for advice at other times. They are:

Professor Enrico Coiera, Foundation Professor and Director of the Centre for Health Informatics Macquarie University, Australia

Professor Brian Tjemkes, Associate Professor of Strategy and Organisation, University of Amsterdam

Professor Tom Walley, Director of the Hunter Research Institute, NSW, Australia

Professor Julia Balugon, Dean and Professor of Strategic Management, Liverpool Business School

Sir Jonathan Michael, consultant and former nephrologist, medical leader and NHS CEO

Sir Robert Lechlar (to be confirmed), Senior VP King’s College London and retiring Executive Director, King’s Health Partners.

Academic Health Science Centre Application

LHP speculatively submitted an application to become an NIHR Academic Health Science Centre.  Whilst disappointing, we believe we have lodged with NIHR our intention and commitment to create a vibrant research environment across the City.   Formal feedback is expected in the next few weeks and this will be incorporated into the LHP 2020-21 Business Plan.
