Chief Operating Officer – Local Clinical Research Network
The NIHR Clinical Research Network is looking to appoint a Chief Operating Officer who is an experience, outcomes-focussed leader who has a track record in successfully leading and managing large scale change. You will have outstanding business, management and organisational skills, and a sound knowledge of all sectors of the NHS.
The COO will support the development of the LCRN strategy and operational planning in order to meet the requirements of the LCRN Contract in conjunction with the Clinical Director. You will develop and manage the LCRN’s annual business plan, monitor progress and manage risks and issues, again supported by the Clinical Director and the Operational Management Group.
You must work well with clinicians of all professions, have excellent negotiation and influencing skills in order to ensure all constituent providers of NHS services are engaged with, and collaboratively support, the LCRN aims. You will be accountable for meeting performance targets and for establishing and managing a number of effective stakeholder relationships such as NHS providers, CCG’s etc.
