To mark World Heart Day 2023, the Liverpool Centre for Cardiovascular Science (LCCS) is offering free heart health checks to the public.
Pop along to Liverpool Central Library on Friday 29 September from 10am-3pm to take part in a ‘heart health MOT’ and to learn how lifestyle changes can improve your cardiovascular health.

LCCS brings together world-leading research and clinical specialists in cardiovascular biology and medicine from the University of Liverpool, Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital Trust, Liverpool John Moores University and Liverpool Health Partners.
A number of civic buildings and landmarks in the Liverpool City Region will be lit red to mark World Heart Day.
World Heart Day is celebrated on 29th September of every year. It is aimed at drawing people’s attention to heart illness and the range of associated health and help people understand the simple things they can do to help their heart health.
