Learn more about Data Science Internships
ARC NWC Data Science Internships are an opportunity for staff from members of Applied Research Collaborations (ARC) to develop skills and knowledge in analysing and interpreting data.
The intern should develop a project related to existing data that has been collected and must sit under one of the ARC themes. You can see the themes here.
The project must also involve public advisors and identify and address health inequalities. Colleagues in ARC NWC will be happy to support the development of a project, as appropriate.
In this round, internships are being offered to support individuals from member organisations to:
- Prepare an NIHR Research Fellowship application – including Pre-Doctoral Doctoral Fellowship, Clinical Doctoral Research Fellowship, Development and Skills Enhancement Award, or Advanced Fellowship.
- Complete a Rapid Conversion Evidence Summary project (RaCES).
The internships are open to individuals employed within member organisations who have an established interest in research, implementation and evaluation, and are looking to begin the next stage of their research career.
For these internships, ARC NWC will provide funding for salary backfill (maximum £6000 available), allowing the intern to be released from their daily duties for the duration of the internship. The internship can be taken as a set number of days per week for a defined period, for example one day per week for 12 months.
Additional information and an application form can be obtained by contacting ARCNWC@uclan.ac.uk. Please indicate which internship you are interested in. Applications must be received by 5pm on Monday July 12th.
