LHP’s Second Grand Round Webinar
The second of Liverpool Health Partners’ (LHP) Grand Round Webinars took place via Zoom on Friday 24 September 2021 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm.
The event was chaired by LHP Chairman, Prof Eliot Forster, who joined the organisation earlier this year and was delighted to introduce speakers from across our LHP system, presenting on projects concerning innovation for the benefit of our local community.
The webinar included contributions from Dr Rachel Joynes, LHP Director for Research, Infrastructure and Education concerning progress she and Programme Manager, Haku Bhatt, have made in their joint work with the Innovation Agency across the system, in addition to plans for the coming year.
We also enjoyed a presentation from Prof Ian Jones and Dr Gabriela Czanner from Liverpool John Moores University, who shared an update from the innovative SHOPS-AF project, which involved attaching sensors to shopping trolleys to identify people at risk of stroke. In addition, Dr Victoria Watson of Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine gave a presentation on the fascinating Liverpool Community HIV Self Testing Pilot.
Those attending described the event as inclusive, informative, and relevant, whilst the presentations were described as excellent and interesting.
A recording of the webinar is available below.
A quarterly event, the next Grand Round Webinar will take place on Friday 10 December 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm and will focus on LHP’s newest programme, Living Well. For more information and to register follow this link.
