Liverpool’s response to COVID-19: Second STOP COVID webinar
Liverpool Health Partners (LHP) hosted the second Liverpool STOP COVID webinar on Friday 26 June 2020.
The webinar was chaired by William Hope, Centre of Excellence for Infectious Disease Research (CEIDR), who provided an update on the STOP COVID system in Liverpool.
We were joined by Vivian Hope, Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU), presenting on The PHOENIX Project. The Survey of People and Households Ongoing Efforts in Response to the National COVID19 Guidance and its Impacts Across the North West, is funded by LJMU and conducted by The Public Health Institute with the School of Psychology.
Andy Pettitt, LHP and Liverpool Cancer Research Institute, presented with Nagesh Kalakonda, Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. Their presentation covered the framework that has been established for COVID research concerning cancer across LHP partners, in addition to the development of research projects and involvement in national research, as well as research at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre during the pandemic.
Andrea Collins and Helen Hill, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM), provided an update on the Phase II/III Clinical Trial – CoV002
Coronavirus Disease (COVID -19) Vaccine ChAdOx1 ncov-19 in UK healthy adults. Lead by Andrew Pollard, Oxford Vaccine Group, the trial is supported by Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and NIHR Northwest Coast.
