The world’s first global conference dedicated entirely to the art and science of zygomatic implant treatment was organised by one of our Liverpool colleagues.

Mr Chris Butterworth, Consultant Maxillofacial Prosthodontist, Aintree University Hospital/Liverpool Dental Hospital and Honorary Senior Lecturer in the recently formed Liverpool Head & Neck Centre at the University of Liverpool hosted this two-day international conference – held in London and bringing together more than 230 delegates from 24 countries.

Zygomatic implants are used to provide complex dental and sometimes facial prosthetic rehabilitation for patients with severe upper jaw atrophy and/or tumours.
