Platform to improve mental health services for children and young people rolled out in Cheshire and Merseyside

Alder Hey Hospital’s ground-breaking initiative, the CYP as One Platform, continues to make waves as it expands its reach beyond its initial launch in Liverpool and Sefton.

Now, the innovative platform has been rolled out to Cheshire and Merseyside, marking a significant milestone in the effort to revolutionise mental health services for children and young people across the region.

The CYP as One Platform, developed in collaboration with Alder Hey’s innovation team and various stakeholders including service users, offers a streamlined approach to accessing mental health services. By consolidating information, resources, and support into a single digital platform, it simplifies the referral process and provides online assistance to children, young people, parents, and professionals.

The CYP as One Platform has expanded its reach

The decision to extend the platform’s availability to Cheshire and Merseyside underscores its effectiveness and the growing recognition of its value in improving mental health outcomes for vulnerable individuals. This expansion brings hope for better access to timely interventions and support for children and young people facing mental health challenges in these regions.

Furthermore, the success of the CYP as One Platform has not gone unnoticed, as it has recently been adopted by two additional Trusts: Somerset and Hertfordshire.

Overall, the expansion of Alder Hey’s CYP as One Platform to Cheshire and Merseyside, coupled with its adoption by Trusts in Somerset and Hertfordshire, represents a significant step forward in the journey towards improving mental health support for young individuals across the UK.
